After uploading multiple lists how would you ensure contacts are only in one list?

Currently I have several contacts in multiple lists but they should only ever be in one list at one time.

What is the best to way to sort this?
 
@OABC - Mailwizz by default only assures there's no duplicate in a single list, so it does not care about the email being in other lists and it doesn't really offers many tools to help with this.
 
Would there be any best practice you think would solve this, we are having an unsubscribe from all lists coded at the moment, so that might help - but it would be good to clean up the current duplicates.

A query that allows only unique subscriber emails but prioritizes either earliest subscribe date or latest open/click per sub to remain could do it.
