API Create Customer.....What API Key?

We are working on an integration between our system and Mailwizz. The initial goal is to be able to create customers and lists. It appears that customer creation is possible

however, I am not sure where to get / create an admin level API key that would support the ability create customers.
Any ideas?

That is a free endpoint, it's like registration in the browser, you don't need a key.

Can I generate API keys for the customer that is being created in the call?

When using customers.php to create a customer, it requires setup.php.
Setup.php on lines 37-41 declares the API credentials and path.
Regardless of whether an API key is declared or not, the following error message is received:

[status] => error
[error] => Customer creation is disabled.

Any ideas?
