Please follow this steps:

  1. Check the SMTP server's status: Make sure the SMTP server is up and running by contacting your email provider or checking their service status page.
  2. Verify your SMTP settings: Make sure that your SMTP settings are correct, including the server hostname, port number, username, password, and SSL/TLS settings. Double-check that you are using the correct protocol (SSL or TLS) and that you are using the correct port number (465 for SSL, 587 for TLS).
  3. Check firewall settings: Verify that your firewall settings are not blocking the SMTP port or the IP address of the server.
  4. Check DNS settings: Ensure that your DNS settings are configured correctly, and that the SMTP server's hostname is resolving to the correct IP address.
  5. Check for network connectivity issues: Verify that there are no network connectivity issues between your computer and the SMTP server. You can try pinging the server or running a traceroute to see if there are any network issues.
  6. Temporarily disable antivirus software: Antivirus software can sometimes interfere with email traffic. Temporarily disabling your antivirus software can help determine if it is blocking the connection.
  7. Contact your email provider: If you have tried all of the above steps and the issue persists, contact your email provider's technical support team for assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or resolve the issue from their end.

Following this steps you should be able to identify the cause of the issue and resolve it in most cases.
