Campaign segmentation (and docs for groups and custom tags?)

Hi all,
Ok, I understand segmentation - sending based on field values or other conditions, but I've gone though the knowledge base and haven't been able to find any documentation on Campaign Groups, Campaign Custom Tags and more importantly, segmentation.

When I create a campaign and select a list, I'm unable to add a segment:

Is there some documentation on this?

first create a segment in your list(s)
then u can use it in your camps
