Email subject not translated

I applied translation package and translated manually the pages.

Everything goes fine except the mail subject "Please confirm your subscription" in the confirmation email.
How I translate that?

I even created translation files where that string is stored (List_subscribersController.php and
ListControllerCallbacksBehavior.php) but did'nt work.

To me, the only thing that make it different is that they are email related (rather than screen).
So translation for email works differently?

@xtlantic - translation works the same everywhere.
Did you set your language as the default language of the app and also the language for the customer that lists belongs to?
