Failed to authenticate on SMTP server

Failed to authenticate on SMTP server on mailwizz with username sample "abcde_123456789002 and password" using 2 possible authenticators. Authenticator LOGIN returned Expected response code 235 but got code "535", with message "535 Incorrect authentication data

Hello I am getting the following error code when trying to validate my smtp on mailwizz email validation with an smtp username in this form abcde_123456789002, I have tested same smtp on other sending platform and is working perfectly. but when I use an smtp with a username such as name@domain.com and password it's working properly, does this mean that mailwizz only accepts smtp that has a name@domain.com?

Please kindly advise I need solution for this immediately.

MailWizz doesn't care about your username/password as it just pass them along to your smtp server. Sometimes though, passwords with special chars will cause problems, so if that's the case, you might try one that doesn't contain them.
