gdpr compliance

@Niko - Mailwizz as an app is entirely compliant with GDPR, at least from my understanding.
Keep in mind that GDPR also means a lot of changes for you as a company, to change the way you handle private data of your subscribers and all, so make sure you have all your fronts covered.
 
GDPR is also about the right to be forgotten and it should be easy to do so. If Mailwizz "approves" that unsubscribed subscribers can be used again, then it's probably not GDPR-compliant

I can only speak about the default functionality in the app, which always complies to the laws.
If any mailwizz owner decides to use the app otherwise, it's up to that person to support any legal consequences.
Also keep in mind that GDPR is enforced by EU. Other countries don't have this. Mailwizz can be used in all countries, thus it offers the options to do so :)
 
@twisted1919 for GDPR there is a big emphasis on the business being able to prove approval was given. To this extent are there logs that are accessible for all emails being entered, confirmed, unsubscribed, unconfirmed etc. that aren't overwritten. If they're overwritten then you couldn't prove someone joined, confirmed, unsubscribed, re-joined, re-confirmed etc.
 
@Michael Wilding - there's a table which keeps track of the opt-in and opt-out history for any subscriber, so as long as the subscribers subscribed themselves in the system there will be absolutely no problem in showing the history.
