How does the mail sending work??

Hi,

From time to time I install interspire and then just use its smtp into MW.
When installing interspire I set the following options:

  1. Hourly limit per ip = 1500
  2. Hourly limit for each provider per ip = 220
etc
But I don't use interspire, I just use that configured smtp and install it on mailwizz. Do sending rules change according to mailwizz's own rules? Or does it follow what I set up?

I know mailwizz has better deliverability so I would want to use MW sending rules.

Most of you must be wondering why do I go through the trouble of installing interspire first if I just wanna use the SMTP, well the thing is I really don't know how to installa MTA lol. So its easy for me to install interspire first and then just use its smtp on mailwizz.

But IEM does not have any internal MTA ;)
Are you using any special install scripts that come with an MTA?

Hey,

Yes I have custom script it uses pmta inside interspire. :p

PS: Can you answer my question? Really trying to get my head around it lol.

The MTA would not be inside IEM.

MailWizz settings and MTA directives will determine the final sending rules.
