Hi all

I am using a VPS with MailWizz.

How can I remove those email address from internal bounces that ended up on the blacklist email automatically from my list of emails addresses?

I removed them from the blacklist (Backend) and they went back to the contacts and increased the bounces rate.

I searched on the forums but yet to see any solution.

Appreciate any prompt assistance.

@Jackson - Internal bounces should not be removed, they are good emails, just failed sending because of the smtp server issue.
If you want to remove them for good, just go to customer area, then to lists and click the All Subscribers button, then the filters button, then select all subscribers with blacklisted status and remove them. This will delete all blacklisted subscribers for good.

Internal bounces should not be marked blacklisted.

Thanks for all the the guidance.

I do understand that the internal bonuces is due to the STMP server issue. In short the IP has been affected.

But won't the internal bonuce continue to affect the sending and sever reputation?
Currently, the internal bonuce is causing the abnormal high bounce rate.
Any advice on this?

One more thing, when I REMOVE the emails address from the BACKEND BLACKLIST EMAIL, they went back the customer subscriber list.

Is that suppose to be the case?

My current settings are as such:

Am I doing it correctly?

Many thanks in advance!

Internal bounce is due to any internal sending problem, not just re the DS, but also much more often the receiving end. The IPs of your infrastructure should not suffer from this. The bounce rate mght seem high in total, but when you look at the break down into hard, internal, and soft - you will see the portions.

If you want to remove them from the BL, you need to see first what BL settings you have (/backend/settings/email-blacklist).

If BL subs are kept only for only one day, then you might have accidents down the road, if other customers might import them not yet knowing they recently bounced.

I had changed the subscribers setting to be BLACKLIST DAYS to be '0' again.

I can almost say that 99% of the bounce rate is due to Internal Bounce.

Anyway, I shouldn't be removing these emails since they are valid email addresses but I just unable to email them now due to their end - Am I right to say this?

Once again, thank you so much.

I had checked with the my server support and that these internal bounces emails are getting stuck in the server and taking up space.

This cause the system to be unstable and it that correct the emails will be stuck when they are internal bounces?

Some emails maybe retried, either by the DS or by mwz. So until they are bounced, they are in the loop for delivery, and you could say stuck in the system, but there is a queue for it, which can be clogged on small systems. It is anyway advisable to not send from your own server, but use third party (even your own third party) DS (e.g. another server with an MTA on it, which will handle the queue and not bring anything else down).

My VPS is setup as an SMTP dedicated for only sending the emails.

Currently, I am only facing the internal bounces issues, my hard and soft bounces as well as complains are close to zero. But the internal bounces are messing up everything.

I need to setup the server with MTA? Is there any recommendation for VPS?

Many thanks in advance.

You don't have to, but it is better to have a third party and de-risk your main mailer IP.
Any cheap VPS will do, if you have a normal op and reasonable volume, as then it can be handled by PostFix (and its good queue management).
There is a whole section for reliable hosts here on the forum.
