Mailwizz loads really slow

Every time I try to send a campaign, Mailwizz loads very slow. It takes a minute or longer of a blank screen and then I get this error.

CDbCommand failed to execute the SQL statement: SQLSTATE[08S01]: Communication link failure: 1153 Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes

I'm on a VPS with OVH:
  • 1 vCore
  • 2.4 GHz
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 20 GB SSD
I had this guy on Fiverr set it up for me and everything seems fine, except I can't send emails. I keep getting that 500 error. The Fiverr guy says on his end it sends messages and in my backend I see that he has sent a message. It had gone through but for me, it keeps freezing.

Can anyone help me please =)
 
Update: It works fine in Explorer browser but not Firefox.

Not sure why that it, but i'm sure it will work out the kinks eventually. I'll try clearing the cookies and see what happens.
