Newsletter for costumers

Newsletter for costumer, I know that we can send newsletter to costumers in backend>> mass mail, But this is a little deficient, Like costumers can't unsubscribe, autorespond newsletter, change from email, select desirable delivery server ....
Way that popped into my mind, create a costumer account for myself with a separate list, change mw registration page, integrate with mailwizz api and when new costumer register, In addition add to my costumer list account. Finally send newsletter to costumers with costumer area campaign.
Does the correct solution?

That is what I do. Integrate the registration form with the contact us box as well to get more emails
