only 50 imported CSV file

I'm clearly missing a setup option, or something (sorry i did search it and couldn't find what i was looking for).

When i log in as a customer and choose to import a CSV file it reports that it has done everything successfully but on reviewing the list it appears as though only 50 subscribers have been imported. i checked under settings -> import-export, and set all the limits to the max i could but this didn't make a difference.

Where am i going wrong?

Yes, to the letter!

Okay, in this case it means that your file either has duplicates, or most of the emails in it are already part of the email list, or you have most emails in the blacklist, or all these.

Right, thank you. I didn't notice originally as i setup a test list in excel, but it didn't autocomplete the emails properly so there were duplicates.
