Sending limits and multiple delivery servers

We're using Amazon SES, so I was wondering about delivery limits. If we start to really ramp up our email campaigns, would it be best to set up multiple delivery servers, and if so, do those need to be on different accounts or have any special setup?

Just stick with SES only, you don't need multiple delivery servers.
Internally, you put more pression on the app when there are many delivery servers.

checking out different DS is wise as you might get very different speeds depending on your location, time with them, settings, etc. some get faster with smtp, others with web api, some allow only 20 or 30 concurrent connections, others allow you to go much higher ;)
