Setting up my first Delivery Server

I am starting small, and just trying to get something up and running before tackling Amazon SES
I have attached a screenshot. When I try to validate the server, nothing happens. Later, if I move to another part of the application, I see this error message at the top of the screen

  • Cannot send the confirmation email using the data you provided.
  • Here is a transcript of the error message:
  • SMTP connect() failed.
    CLIENT -> SERVER: EHLO softsmith.co.nz
    SMTP ERROR: EHLO command failed:
    SMTP NOTICE: EOF caught while checking if connected
softsmith.co.nz is the domain that I have MW installed on, and I am trying to use a spare gmail account I have as the Delivery Server.

Also, I do not understand what to put into the "Tracking Domain" box. Can you give me an example please?
