Unable to configure Google apps SMTP as delivery server

I tried to configure Google apps delivery server, but encountered error. I tried changing smtp with smtp.gmail.com, smtp.googlemail.com and with and without all possible protocol options.

Cannot send the confirmation email using the data you provided.

let me know if you can add any other SMTP as server?
it may be the case where your Host or your server iptables rules blocking certain ports..
1st check your ports are open..
then try with google apps recommended SSL/PORTs..etc..

Your host does not know who smtp.gmail.com is.
